Registered Podiatrist & Pedorthist
Sharon has a Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of Newcastle and a Bachelor of Pedorthics from Southern Cross University of Queensland and is experienced in all aspects of podiatric foot care. She was a clinical supervisor for podiatry students at the University of Newcastle’s teaching clinic at Wyong Hospital for 3 years. Sharon is currently completing her final year in Pedorthics at Southern Cross University on the Gold Coast, where she is designing medical grade footwear and orthotic appliances. Sharon utilises her knowledge of orthopaedic footwear to assist in the treatment of diabetic, arthritic and neurological conditions for adults and children. She is a registered NDIS provider, accredited with the Department of Veteran Affairs and accepts Chronic Disease Management Plans (EPC referrals) from your General Practitioner.
With a wealth of clinical experience, Sharon has a commitment to resolving foot pain but has a holistic approach whereby she takes the gait and posture into account when prescribing footwear and orthotic appliances. Sharon provides attention to detail, a comprehensive assessment, a clear diagnosis and a management plan. This will often include orthotics, exercises and footwear advice. Sharon continues to undertake additional study as part of her professional development whilst providing general podiatry services.
Sharon loves working with people collaboratively to improve their foot health and, in turn, their quality of life. She believes Health Point Mingara is a clinic where she can achieve this.
